Celebrate Pride Month: Women-on-Women Dodge Ball Tournament on June 17
Celebrate Pride with Rec and Park. This Friday, June 17, at Eureka Valley Rec Center
(100 Collingwood St.), our annual Women-on-Women Dodge Ball Tournament is sure to
be a blast as teams face off against one another in a wild competition. Doors open

Warriors Game 4 Viewing Party at Civic Center Proves Good Luck for Team
The Golden State Warriors, who continue their pursuit of their second consecutive
NBA championship this week, received a big boost from fans last Friday, June 10,
 as more than 1,000 fans came out to Civic Center to root on their favorite Dubs
 at a free viewing party hosted by Mayor Ed Lee, Rec and Park and Another Planet
 Entertainment.

Kezar Triangle Volunteer Work Day and Celebration Wrapup
The Kezar Triangle volunteer workday and celebration on June 4 was a great success
(minus the cold SF summer weather). Volunteers worked in the Plot to Grow Art. The
current planting - Beautiful Enough to Eat - showcases beautiful, colorful plants
that have some edible parts. This art installation provides an educational opportunity
for children and adults to experience the vibrant growth cycle of a variety of plants.
Volunteers helped to maintain the Plot to Grow Art by mulching the garden path and
planting corn and fava beans. Volunteers also weeded among the Kezar Triangle native
plant gardens. Celebration activities included face painting, bubble making, nature
art sketching and acoustic music from a Talent for Mischief. Supervisor London Breed
stopped by to greet the volunteers and join in on the fun.

SFYBL Battle of the Bay Tournament a Success
The 3rd Annual San Francisco Youth Baseball League's Battle of the Bay Tournament
last week was a huge success, with several 12U and 10U teams from around the Bay
 Area, including the all-girls San Francisco Bay Sox (above), competing. The 12U
 champions were the SFYBL 12U All Stars; the 10U champs were the Hillsborough Eagles.

Free Guided Walk with Healthy Parks, Healthy People on June 18
Meet 10 a.m. at McLaren Park at University and Mansell

Join us for a free walk through glorious McLaren Park. This walk is moderately paced
through groves of redwoods and cypress trees. Expect to climb a hill or two and
