begins this Saturday, May 14, at 10 a.m., online or in-person at 13 sites around

Dartmouth Day of Service at Hellman Hollow
Alumni from Dartmouth College, including the Women of Dartmouth, the Greater San
 Francisco Club, and Rec and Park GM Phil Ginsburg (Class of '89), came out to Hellman
Hollow in Golden Gate Park this past Saturday, May 7, for a volunteer service day.
Since 2013, Dartmouth alums have participated in six Golden Gate Park work parties
and have performed more than 180 hours of service in our parks. On Saturday, the
 group maintained previously planted shrubs and trees and planted a new Lone Pine
tree on the hill. Photos here.

Stern Grove Festival Celebrates 79th Season

Girls Baseball Tryouts May 17-19
Calling all girls baseball players! Rec and Park will host evaluation/tryout dates
for placement on San Francisco Bay Sox baseball teams, which will represent the 
city in this summer's second annual Baseball for All girls baseball tournament here
in San Francisco. Evaluation Dates: May 17 at Palega Recreation Center (500 Felton)
for 8 and Under; and May 18  and 19 at Palega for 10 and Under and 13 and Under.
