Reindeer Romp Begins
Saturday, November 19
Santa's reindeer are on the way! "Belle", "Holly" and "Peppermint" arrive Saturday to spread holiday cheer throughout San Francisco Zoo & Gardens. The majestic reindeer will be romping at SF Zoo's Playfield Lawn, near the spectacular Elinor Friend Playground until January 1. Visitors will learn reindeer fun facts and more, daily from 11:30-4:00. Celebrate the holiday season by greeting the animals that help Santa with all his special deliveries!

Conservation Lecture Series
Saturday, November 19
Our Wild Places, Wild Things Conservation Lecture Series continues on Saturday, November 19 with a very special presentation about lemurs. The Zoo's own Chief of Vet Services, Dr. Graham Crawford, will explain a groundbreaking project to save lemurs (http://sfzoo.us12.list-manage.com/track/click?u=05b8326f4402b997fe7a097e3&id=7ca49d73b9&e=7683a9aed3) in Madagascar by improving the health of chickens. Listen and participate in the Osher Great Hall of the Lurie Education Center from 1:00-2:30 pm!

The reindeer "adopt" packages have arrived and make wonderful gifts for your loved ones. This special seasonal package includes a certificate of adoption, a photo of one of our visiting reindeer, a reindeer stuffed animal and a reindeer pin.
