So Frances told me, *in these words*, that her classmate Zoe "wants
to kill herself" and "hates herself and wishes she would die".  That
she had specifically heard this from Zoe.

I don't know that those are perfect word-for-word quotes, but they
are *very* close.

Now, I mean, Frances is *five*, and we don't put a lot of effort
into vetting her YouTube, and we watch adult TV in front of them
sometimes, so she could have heard those phrases somewhere, for
sure.  And if one of my kids is going to make stuff up and/or lie
outright, it's gonna be Frances.

So I don't know that I would drop everything to investigate this,
but it seemed like I should mention this to somebody, because
childhood depression sucks, and maybe you'd want to keep an eye out
for whatever's actually going on here.

(Also, I really hope I haven't just activated a mandated reporting
situation, because again, I figure it's most likely that Frances is
... mistaken.)
