Chilean Flamingo Chicks
Flamingo chicks are hatching like hotcakes and the fluffy, white birds are just adorable! The first chick of the season hatched September 17 and has already doubled in size. A second chick hatched September 24 and there may even be more to come! Chilean flamingo parents take turns feeding their offspring red "crop milk". Stop by SF Zoo and see if you can spot the chicks - sometimes they're "hiding" in the wing of their mom or dad.
