Spring Eggstravaganza on April 15
This year's Spring Eggstravaganza at Sharon Meadow in Golden Gate park on April 
15 will feature egg hunts, carnival rides, games, live entertainment, food trucks
and the highly anticipated annual Rib Cook-Off between SF Rec and Park, SF Fire,
 SF Police and other city departments. Free bike valet provided by the SF Bike Coalition
at the west entrance of the event, off Bowling Green Drive near Martin Luther King
Drive.

Junior Giants Registration on April 15
Junior Giants is a free, noncompetitive co-ed summer baseball program for boys and
girls, ages 5-18. Working together with SF Rec and Park and other youth-serving 
agencies, Junior Giants reaches into communities and offers youth the chance to

Huckleberry Youth Programs Day of Service on April 29
Huckleberry Youth Programs celebrates its 50th anniversary with a volunteer day 
of service in partnership with SF Rec and Park and SF Travel, Saturday, April 29,
from 9:45 a.m. to 1 p.m., in Golden Gate Park and the Panhandle. BBQ lunch included.
 Park beautification projects include weeding, mulching, pruning and litter removal.

Greenagers Now Accepting Applications for 2017-2018
The San Francisco Recreation and Park Department and the Port of San Francisco's
 Greenagers program, a youth leadership program offering teens a chance to play

Canoe Mobile at McNab Lake on April 15
On Saturday, April 15, join Wilderness Inquiry and Rec and Park for a morning of
 canoeing at McNab Lake at Louis Sutter Playground (Wayland and University streets),
from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. FREE. It'll be the last chance to get on the water with Canoemobile
this year, so swing by before going on a walk with Healthy Parks, Healthy People
 in McLaren Park!

Healthy Parks, Healthy People Trail Walk at McLaren Park on April 15
Join us for a walk through McLaren Park, San Francisco's second largest park. The
walk starts with light stretching, followed by a guided walk through groves of redwoods
and cypress trees. This walk is moderately strenuous yet all will be rewarded with
an amazing view of San Francisco. Meet by the McLaren Park sign next to the 29 Muni
bus stop at University & Mansell streets at 10:00 a.m. For a more enjoyable walk
 remember to dress comfortably, wear walking shoes, bring water and use sunscreen.
