Party for the Planet
Saturday, April 22
Spend Earth Day at San Francisco Zoo & Gardens as we throw a Party for the Planet (http://sfzoo.us12.list-manage1.com/track/click?u=05b8326f4402b997fe7a097e3&id=da0b68095b&e=7683a9aed3) on Saturday, April 22! During your visit to the 100 acre park, living classroom and Zoo, spend some time relaxing near the Patas Lawn where there will be fresh fruits and vegetables to sample from Fresh Point Produce, hot coffee from Peerless Coffee, and beverages from Coca Cola. Our friends from U.S Department of Fish and Wildlife will be joining the party to share conservation information and kids will enjoy arts & crafts and fun facts about SF Zoo's Conservation Corner!

Wild Walks
This Weekend

To celebrate Earth Day on Saturday, Wild Walks are themed “It's Easy Being Green!" Each tour is filled with fun facts, animal stories and animal encounters that will make you feel like a Zoo insider. Pedal with your pals while enjoying the sights and sounds of your very own zoological park on Saturday, April 22 from 8:30-10:00 am! Families can bring their bicycles to the Zoo for this informative 90-minute, docent-led cycling tour. It’s great to be in the Zoo ahead of the crowds and watch the animals start their day. ZooFest 2017
Our annual ZooFest gala is just one week from today! Red Ivory
Experience a powerful, compelling and provocative new art exhibit, Red Ivory (http://sfzoo.us12.list-manage.com/track/click?u=05b8326f4402b997fe7a097e3&id=e4a6c36b6d&e=7683a9aed3) , now playing at the Doelger Primate Discovery Center. San Francisco Zoo's Artist in Residence Henry Jackson created this artistic visual narrative to portray the consequences of illegal wildlife trade using layered, enhanced video and composed audio. Otter Conservation
Join us for an exciting conservation lecture about river otters, charismatic carnivores and wonderful ambassadors for river and wetland restoration! Robyn Aston of the River Otter Ecology Project will discuss what’s known about the species, what needs to be discovered, and just how we manage to research elusive, secretive mammals who slide into the water and disappear when approached. The FREE lecture is May 6 from 1:00-2:30 pm in Osher Great Hall of the Lurie Education Center.
