I've gotta say, "Students have been choked, they’ve been slapped,
they have been given death threats almost daily" sounds *way* more
severe when you don't know we're talking about a first grader.
Like, that's not awesome, but in particular "death threats" just
sounds absurd; 6-7 year olds say insane shit when they're
tantrumming all the time, even if such a kid literally said "I'll
kill you", I wouldn't call that a death threat.  I would hope for
some counseling, though.
