MLK Weekend

Members' Morning
Saturday, January 14
San Francisco Zoo Members receive exclusive access to the Zoo from 9:00-10:00 am on Saturday, January 14 for the monthly Members' Morning. This month, attend a Members Only Keeper Talk at 9:30 am inside the newly reopened, east section of the Lion House. Additionally, enjoy complimentary coffee at the main Gift Shop, discover our Elinor Friend Playground, and ride the historic Dentzel Carousel. Docent Informational Event
Saturday, January 14
If you're looking for something meaningful to do with your extra time, consider becoming a docent. Attend the Docent Program Informational Event (http://sfzoo.us12.list-manage1.com/track/click?u=05b8326f4402b997fe7a097e3&id=272923b768&e=7683a9aed3) on Saturday, January 14 from 10:00-12:00 at the Lurie Education Center at SF Zoo. Anyone interested should have a love for animals and the ability to share information with others. We'll teach you everything else! Lunar New Year
January 28-29 & February 4-5
Celebrate Lunar Near Year at SF Zoo! To commemorate the Year of the Rooster, the San Francisco Zoo is thrilled to host two weekends of Lunar New Year (http://sfzoo.us12.list-manage2.com/track/click?u=05b8326f4402b997fe7a097e3&id=af564c2de7&e=7683a9aed3) activities! Soak up the ambiance of the occasion and marvel at traditional Chinese lion and folk dance performances near the Lion Fountain. Go on a Zodiac Scavenger Hunt through the Zoo to learn fun facts about the animals found on the Chinese calendar. Guests born in the Year of the Rooster receive complimentary Zoo admission for the day.

Discover Africa with Graham Johansson
Saturday, January 28
Come to SF Zoo for an armchair safari with professional guide and wildlife photographer Graham Johansson on Saturday, January 28 at 10:00 am. Johansson will share the wonders and discoveries of his explorations to Botswana, Namibia, South Africa, Zambia and Zimbabwe. Based in Cape Town, South Africa, Johansson is an avid naturalist with a vast portfolio of wildlife photographs published in a variety of mediums. This lecture will be held in the Osher Great Hall of the Lurie Education Center and is open to the public. SF Zoo offers public, private and VIP Wild Walks, ranging from one hour to 90 minutes every weekend! Walks start at just $7 for members and $10 for non-members. Each tour is filled with fun facts, animal stories and animal encounters that will make you feel like a Zoo insider!
