Lunar New Year
January 28-29 & February 4-5
Celebrate Lunar Near Year at SF Zoo! To commemorate the Year of the Rooster, the San Francisco Zoo is thrilled to host two weekends of Lunar New Year (http://sfzoo.us12.list-manage1.com/track/click?u=05b8326f4402b997fe7a097e3&id=19c7228156&e=7683a9aed3) activities! Soak up the ambiance of the occasion and marvel at traditional Chinese lion and folk dance performances near the Lion Fountain. Go on a Zodiac Scavenger Hunt through the Zoo to learn fun facts about the animals found on the Chinese calendar. Guests born in the Year of the Rooster receive complimentary Zoo admission for the day.

Discover Africa with Graham Johansson

Come to SF Zoo for an armchair safari and learn about the upcoming trip to Botswana with professional guide and wildlife photographer Graham Johansson on Saturday, January 28 at 10:00 am in the Osher Great Hall. Johansson will share the wonders and discoveries of his explorations to Botswana, Namibia, South Africa, Zambia and Zimbabwe. Based in Cape Cod, South Africa, Johansson is one of the best guides in the business. He’s an avid naturalist with a vast portfolio of wildlife photographs published in a variety of mediums. Graham also can comment on safari opportunities with San Francisco Zoo & Gardens! SF Zoo is rolling out an exclusive travel program to connect explorers with amazing sights and experiences from the far corners of the earth. Register for Zoo Camp & Early Childhood Classes
Mark your calendars and get ready for the wildest place around! Registration for Spring and Summer Zoo Camps (http://sfzoo.us12.list-manage.com/track/click?u=05b8326f4402b997fe7a097e3&id=ef5245d07e&e=7683a9aed3) will open Wednesday, February 15 at 8:00 am.  Registration for Early Childhood (http://sfzoo.us12.list-manage.com/track/click?u=05b8326f4402b997fe7a097e3&id=6a2beaafee&e=7683a9aed3) classes will open Thursday, February 2 at 1:00 pm. From toddlers to teens, your children will go ‘wild’ while learning, playing and exploring at the San Francisco Zoo!
