Summer Exhibits Open This Weekend
Two very popular summer exhibits, Wells Fargo  (http://sfzoo.us12.list-manage.com/track/click?u=05b8326f4402b997fe7a097e3&id=a81f95e61c&e=7683a9aed3) Wildlife Theatre (http://sfzoo.us12.list-manage.com/track/click?u=05b8326f4402b997fe7a097e3&id=1d9cea5c17&e=7683a9aed3) and Nature Trail (http://sfzoo.us12.list-manage.com/track/click?u=05b8326f4402b997fe7a097e3&id=e007d63cdf&e=7683a9aed3) , reopen this weekend! Wildlife Theatre incorporates a variety of education animals from the Koret Animal Resource Center to engage and educate guests about animal origins, characteristics and more. Shows are at 1:30 and 2:30 pm throughout the summer. Visitors also have the opportunity to go on a leisurely stroll along Nature Trail to interact with and see more than a dozen animals up close! Youth volunteers staff each animal station to deliver fun facts and conservation stories. Tarantulas Special Exhibit Now Open
They’re big. They’re hairy. But are they scary? Find out why the largest spiders in the world are simply misunderstood gentle giants. You may even learn to love them! Our Tarantula special exhibit (http://sfzoo.us12.list-manage2.com/track/click?u=05b8326f4402b997fe7a097e3&id=1f5ce6b2f2&e=7683a9aed3) is NOW OPEN for a limited time. Senior Stroll
Thursday, June 8
Seniors, ages 65 and older, are welcome to attend SF Zoo's quarterly Senior Stroll, Thursday, June 8 from 9:00-11:00 am. Enjoy a guided walking tour and watch the animals that are active early in the day, especially in the Family Farm. Bring your best questions for a knowledgeable docent, who can provide answers as well as fascinating insights into animal behavior. World Ocean's Weekend
June 10-11
Visit one of the only Zoos located along the coast for a special celebration of oceans, which make our world the blue planet! Join us for a weekend full of water appreciation as we learn about marine wildlife from ocean experts and conservationists. Hear how Zoo staff cares for our own ocean animals, sea lions “Silent Knight” and “Henry.” Meet animals from the intertidal with Aquarium of the Bay's “BayMobile” and hear about important care Marine Mammal Center is giving to sick seals and sea lions. All activities are complimentary with SF Zoo Membership or admission.
