World Oceans Weekend
June 10-11
Visit one of the only Zoos located along the coast for a special celebration (http://sfzoo.us12.list-manage2.com/track/click?u=05b8326f4402b997fe7a097e3&id=bed2e3a564&e=7683a9aed3) of oceans, which make our world the blue planet! Join us for a weekend full of ocean appreciation as we learn about marine wildlife from experts and conservationists. Hear how Zoo staff cares for our own ocean animals like sea lions, penguins and pelicans during daily Keeper Talks. Check out marine partner organizations on site for the occasion near the Elinor Friend Playground.

Minion Meet & Greet at SF Zoo
Sunday, June 11
Dressed in black and white stripes, (much like a zebra) Kevin and Stuart will be at SF Zoo for a meet & greet on Sunday, June 11 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Head to the Playfield Lawn and wait your turn to say hello and take a photo with these wildly popular characters and stars of the upcoming movie, Despicable Me 3!

Tarantulas Special Exhibit Now Open
They’re big. They’re hairy. But are they scary? Find out why the largest spiders in the world are simply misunderstood gentle giants. You may even learn to love them! Celebrating Dads and Giraffe
Sunday, June 18
Father’s Day weekend falls on the longest weekend of the year and San Francisco Zoo & Gardens is celebrating by highlighting the animal with the longest neck! Sunday, June 18 is a day of giraffe education, coinciding with World Giraffe Day (http://sfzoo.us12.list-manage.com/track/click?u=05b8326f4402b997fe7a097e3&id=0fd540155f&e=7683a9aed3) , which raises awareness about the challenges giraffe face and their dwindling population in the wild. Attend our Keeper Talks at 11:30 am at the Acacia Plaza to learn about our giraffe herd and giraffe conservation and 4:30 pm in the barn to highlight Floyd (the giraffe dad) and conservation efforts. We’re pleased to offer free admission to fathers who come to the Zoo with their children on Sunday, June 18!
