SF Deltas Take on the SJ Earthquakes on June 14 & FC Edmonton on June 17
The San Francisco Deltas will face the San Jose Earthquakes in the Fourth Round 
of the 2017 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup tonight, June 14 at Avaya Stadium at 7:15 p.m.

Surrealistic Summer Solstice Concert on June 21
Celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Summer of Love on the first evening of summer,
Wednesday, June 21, from 6-10 p.m., with a light art installation that will transform
the Conservatory of Flowers in Golden Gate Park into a canvas of elegant illuminated
scenes every night through October. The event will also include a free Surrealistic
Summer Solstice concert revisiting the iconic songs of the late 1960s by over 40

Celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Summer of Love in June
Journey into a forest full of faeries and lovers in We Players' adaptation of William
Shakespeare's all-time favorite, "A Midsummer Night's Dream." The six-person version
of this classic tale is a dark and hilarious exploration of the complexities of 
love, our complicated human relationships, and the boundaries between reality and

Celebrate Father's Day in San Francisco Parks and Win Deltas Tickets!

New Batting Cage a Hit at Victoria Manalo Draves Park
There was plenty of star power at Victoria Manalo Draves Park on Thursday, June 
8, as Mayor Ed Lee and SF Giants mascot Lou Seal joined Rec and Park, Commissioner
Alan Low and the District 6 community for a celebration event marking the completion
of the park's new batting cage. The 80' batting cage, the second of its kind in 
San Francisco parks, was made possible by the Recreation and Park Commission's Open
Space Fund contingency reserve funds, with community support from several neighborhood
groups, including City Crossroads Ministries and United Playaz.

Mountain Lake Park Playground Reopens After $3.15M Renovation
It was all smiles as Mountain Lake Park Playground reopened on June 8 after a $3.15
million renovation project made possible by the 2008 and 2012 Clean and Safe Neighborhood
Parks Bonds, and generous gifts from the Friends of Mountain Lake Park Playground
and the Presidio Trust, with support from Supervisor Mark Farrell.  Located in the
Inner Richmond District, Mountain Lake Park is a 15.2-acre park situated on a band
of land bordered by the Presidio to the north and Lake Street to the south. Park
 amenities include a lakeside beach area, fully-accessible children's play area,
 freestanding restroom, sport courts, an off-leash dog play area, and large natural
lawn areas.

Flower Piano Returns to the SF Botanical Garden this Summer
This summer, music, community, and nature join forces once again in the heart of
 the city during the 12-day, outdoor extravaganza known as Flower Piano. Now in 
its third year, Flower Piano once again transforms San Francisco Botanical Garden
(SFBG) into the city's own alfresco concert hall, and everyone is invited to play
and listen. From July 13 - 24 only, visitors will find twelve pianos tucked among
the many flower-filled gardens within SFBG's 55 acres and are encouraged to play
 what they like, from chopsticks to Tchaikovsky. On weekend days, event partner 
Sunset Piano has invited professional pianists and a whole host of other musicians
to perform throughout the Garden as well, and the public is welcome to pack a picnic
and enjoy the shows. Healthy Parks, Healthy People Trail Walk at McLaren Park on June 17
Join us for a walk through McLaren Park, San Francisco's second largest park, this
Saturday, June 17, at 10 a.m.  Meet by the McLaren Park sign next to the 29 Muni
 bus stop (University and Mansell Streets). The walk starts with light stretching,
followed by a guided walk through groves of redwoods and cypress trees. This walk
is moderately strenuous yet all will be rewarded with an amazing view of San Francisco.
For a more enjoyable walk remember to dress comfortably, wear walking shoes, bring
water and use sunscreen. Please check local weather forecasts - Trail Walks will
