As San Francisco celebrates the 50th anniversary of the Summer of Love, we want to thank you, our zoo community, for 88 years of Year-Round Love for the animals here at the San Francisco Zoo! With more than 250 species on exhibit, we have a big job of caring for them all, and we couldn’t do it without your support.

While the Summer of Love is just beginning, our 2016-17 Fiscal Year ends on June 30. If you make a donation prior to June 30, you get some love in return: you will be entered for a chance to win a private behind-the-scenes tour of the Zoo! Please continue to “Love your Zoo” by donating today (http://www.sfzoo.org/support/donate/donate.html#cash) .

$15 provides a comfy bed for prairie dogs
$25 provides one week of honey for our grizzly bears
$50 provides toys for our François langurs to share with their two new babies
$100 will “Adopt-an-Animal (http://www.sfzoo.org/support/donate/adopt-an-animal.html) ” and help provide for their daily care
$250 funds a supply of warm blankets for our chimps
$500 provides an ‘indestructible’ ball for our hippo
$1,000 qualifies you for a behind-the-scenes tour as a Guardian member (http://www.sfzoo.org/support/donate/guardian-program.html)
$5,000 helps maintain the heat and humidity which our birds and reptiles need to thrive in the South American Tropical Rainforest and Aviary
