Hearst Grizzly Gulch 10th Anniversary
June 24-25
Help us celebrate our rescued bear sisters, Kachina and Kiona, on June 24-25, and learn the compelling history of bears at SF Zoo during the 10th anniversary of the Hearst Grizzly Gulch (http://sfzoo.us12.list-manage2.com/track/click?u=05b8326f4402b997fe7a097e3&id=ae0afb9125&e=7683a9aed3) ! Along with the extremely popular and action-packed 10:30 am feeding, animal care staff will be delivering an additional Keeper Talk at 2:30 pm. Hang out around Grizzly Gulch and have your face painted like a bear (or another favorite animal), have your picture taken with a bear character and learn fascinating bear facts from Talk on the Wild Side volunteers. You may even catch a special Storytime Station with a book reading about – you guessed it – bears! Red, White & Zoo
July 1-4
Come celebrate Independence Day at SF Zoo, where we're welcoming an extra long weekend with Four Days of the Fourth! July 1-4 will be the best Red, White & Zoo (http://sfzoo.us12.list-manage.com/track/click?u=05b8326f4402b997fe7a097e3&id=a0f01a655e&e=7683a9aed3) ever. We're highlighting our "patriotic" animals with natural red, white and blue coloring, like red pandas, white pelicans and peacocks. Be sure to hit The Depot, an outdoor eatery, for a BBQ lunch and live "Jungle Jam" concerts each day from 12:00-3:00 pm. Additionally, meet and have your picture taken with animal costumed characters near the Elinor Friend Playground.

Nature Trail

For more than 40 years, this seasonal exhibit has provided an opportunity for guests to interact with about a dozen small animals while allowing youth volunteers to learn and share animal fun facts. Nature Trail is located in the Exploration Zone and is open every day of the summer.
