Alamo Square Reopens on May 24
Join us for a celebration event marking the completion of significant improvements
to this iconic neighborhood park. Funded by the 2008 and 2012 Clean and Safe Neighborhood
Park bonds as well as an irrigation improvement grant from the SF Public Utilities
Commission. Speaking program begins at 11:30 a.m., followed by family-friendly activities.

Stern Grove Festival Lineup Announced
The lineup for the 80th Stern Grove Festival has been released with headliners including
Kool & the Gang, Mavis Staples, and War! This free concert series occurs Sundays

Celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Summer of Love in June
Journey into a forest full of faeries and lovers in We Players' adaptation of William
Shakespeare's all-time favorite, "A Midsummer Night's Dream." The six-person version
of this classic tale is a dark and hilarious exploration of the complexities of

Storywalks in the Golden Gate National Rec Area Starting June 1
Storywalks is coming to the Golden Gate National Recreation Area this summer from
June 1 to August 31! Pages from selected children's picture books are placed temporarily
along the edge of trails in these natural areas including Mountain Lake Park. Visitors
are not only invited to stop and read the story, but also take a closer look and
 listen to their surroundings in the park. An introductory panel will begin each
 story, describing the library partnership with the Park Service, as well as how
 to use the StoryWalk.

This loop trail includes beautiful views of San Francisco's wetlands providing opportunities
to see bird species and native plants. Meet in front of the Lake Merced Boathouse
(1 Harding Park Road) at 10 a.m.The Boathouse is on the right before you enter the
gate to Harding Park golf course. For a more enjoyable walk remember to dress comfortably,

Mobile Rec comes to India Basin Shoreline Park (Hunters Point Boulevard and Hawes

Junior Acting Troupe's 5th Anniversary Gala on May 13
The Junior Acting Troupe, a theater program for youth ages 9 to 14 years, will be
celebrating its 5th Anniversary this Spring with a gala, Saturday, May 13, from 
4:30 to 6 p.m., prior to our closing night performance of "A Midsummer Night's Dream,"

"Grillin In The Mo" is in its seventh year and takes place at Hamilton Recreation
Center (1900 Geary Boulevard) in collaboration with many local community based organizations.

includes an upcoming $10 million renovation project funded by the 2012 Clean and
 Safe Neighborhood Parks Bond and the Downtown Open Space Fund. The video highlights
