Mother's Day Special

The Zoo has so many mothers to celebrate this Mother’s Day, and we’re pleased to offer free admission to mothers who come to the Zoo with their children on Sunday, May 14. Be sure to bring your mom to see the wonderful animals who recently mothered infants, including flamingos, François’ langur, guanaco, kudu, and wallaroo. Here's to all moms!

The mom in your life will love this special Mother’s Day outing! Spend your Sunday morning on a leisurely hour-and-a half-long bicycle tour through the Zoo, and finish up with a nourishing continental breakfast. Mom will enjoy being in the Zoo ahead of the crowds and watching the animals start their day. Endangered Species Awareness
What do black rhinos, tigers, and lowland gorillas have in common? They’re all endangered species and animals you can find at SF Zoo! Special Exhibit
They’re big. They’re hairy. But are they scary? Find out why the largest spiders in the world are simply misunderstood gentle giants. You may even learn to love them! Our Tarantula special exhibit (http://sfzoo.us12.list-manage.com/track/click?u=05b8326f4402b997fe7a097e3&id=f6267e5a04&e=7683a9aed3) will open May 27 to take visitors on a journey of scientific discovery and present these marvelous, eight legged beasts in a new light.

Camp at the Zoo
Jump start your summer with a camping trip at the Zoo on June 17-18! This adventurous Family Overnight (ages 6+) includes setting up camp in the Zoo, staff-guided morning and evening Zoo walks, tasty snacks, and sharing stories by the fire.
