Big Truck Day on October 4

McLaren Bike Park Opening on October 21
Strap on your helmets! You're invited to the opening of San Francisco's first bike
park, McLaren Bike Park, on Saturday, October 21 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The brand
new park is located in McLaren Park at 2050 Sunnydale Avenue, next to Gleneagles

Open Gardens Day a Success!
This past Saturday, September 23 was Open Gardens Day, where community gardens citywide
were open to the public with activities and services, including a bike tour! In
addition, the Golden Gate Park CommUnity Garden and Alemany Farm hosted Garden Resource
Centers at their sites where residents picked up over 400 cubic feet of soil, compost
and mulch, as well as utilized other services! Healthy Parks, Healthy People and RPD Celebrate a Five-Year Partnership
This past Saturday, September 23 we celebrated our 5th year of partnership at the

Youth Day on the Bay on October 7
Youth Day on the Bay has joined up with BaySplash and Neighborhood Fest to bring
a fun and FREE day of kayaking, science, arts, music, food and celebrating the
Bay with your neighbors! The event will take place on Saturday, October 7 from 11

Art Workshops for Infants & Toddlers at Randall Museum in October
Drop into the Randall Museum at Mission Art Center (745 Treat Avenue) for an innovative
art class for infants and toddlers ages 1 year and two months to 5 years old. Kids
and caregivers will combine art making with children's songs and nursery rhymes.
Together they can use toys and everyday art tools to make this art class extra
fun. Paint with sponges, miniature cars, rollers, fingers and more. As with every
art class, dress for a mess!
Infants and toddlers must be accompanied by a participating adult with a cost of
$10 per parent-child combo. Drop-in between 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Fridays and
1 to 4 p.m. on Saturdays in October.
