Give a Warm Welcome to "Jimmy G"!
To improve the genetic diversity of snow leopards — as well as improve their overall numbers — we received a male and a female snow leopard earlier this year. We are excited to introduce our male, "Jimmy G", who is named after the San Francisco 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garappolo. You can find "Jimmy G" in the enclosure outside the Lion House near the Lion Fountain.

Spring Bird Walks
Calling all bird enthusiasts! Our spring bird watching walks are back! Bring your binoculars and join us for an adventurous morning walk, led by Allan Ridley, on Thursday, April 12 from 8:30-10:00 am. Please meet at the Zoo's main entrance. There is no charge for the walk and parking is free in the parking lot until 10:30 am. No reservations necessary. Simply show up and enjoy!

Jungle Jog
Gather your pack or pride to walk/run the Jungle Jog on May 6. Take a walk on the wild side at this family-friendly event and enjoy a 5K course that takes you through the "jungle" which is home to over 2,000 endangered and rescued animals.  Race entry fees (https://sfzoo.us12.list-manage.com/track/click?u=05b8326f4402b997fe7a097e3&id=e6928deab1&e=7683a9aed3) include admission to the Zoo so you are free to enjoy and explore for the rest of the day at your leisure.

Conservation Lecture
Can National Marine Sanctuaries and our Marine National Monuments save sharks from overfishing and the shark fin trade?
