Community Clean Team Hits District 5!
Thank you to the 150 volunteers, including Mayor London Breed and D5 Supervisor 
Vallie Brown, who helped clean our parks as a part of the Community Clean Team on
Saturday, July 28, as well as to the more than 500 volunteers that got out to better
their neighborhood! We appreciate your support in taking care of our community and
making this city a greener place!

Summer Day Camp Update and Camp Chronicles
August is upon us as we finished up our seventh week of summer day camps! Did you
know that our campers have taken 14,896 photos at the Harvey Milk Center for the
 Arts Camp and 128 hours have been spent awake by our campers at the Randall Museum
Overnight Camp? In addition, we held our first ever Clash of Camps Competition at
Kezar Pavilion between the Fog City and Kezar Sports Camps with Fog City winning

Coyote Talk & Workshop on August 16
Join Project Coyote's Ranching with Wildlife Coordinator Keli Hendricks for a talk
and workshop about coexisting with San Francisco's resident coyotes. The meeting
 takes place at the Randall Museum (199 Museum Way) on Thursday, August 16 from

Free guided walk in the park with Healthy Parks, Healthy People
Stow Lake Boathouse (50 Stow Lake Drive) in Golden Gate Park
10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Meet by the boathouse.

Explore nature, enliven your spirit, and increase your stamina in beautiful Golden
Gate Park. This 2-mile loop trail around Stow Lake features waterfalls, bird watching
and a grand view from the top of Strawberry Hill. For a more enjoyable walk remember
to dress comfortably, wear walking shoes, bring water and use sun protection. Please

Film Night in Dolores Park on August 4
Join the San Francisco Neighborhood Theater Foundation for Film Night in the Park
on Saturday, August 25 at Dolores Park (Dolores and 19th streets) for its screening
of "The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert." Films are presented free 
of charge on a giant outdoor screen in beautiful park settings. Attendees are encouraged

Stern Grove Festival Featuring Femi Kuti on August 5
With the start of August, we enter the last month of free concerts at Stern Grove.
This Sunday features the heir to an AfroBeat legend, Femi Kuti, returning to the
 Grove with positive vibes, body-shaking rhythms and funky grooves. Local group 
Sol Development opens with a powerful blend of hip-hop, jazz and soul. The concert
