Start The New Year By Becoming a Docent
If you're looking for something meaningful to do with your time, consider becoming a docent. Attend the Docent Program Informational Event (https://sfzoo.us12.list-manage.com/track/click?u=05b8326f4402b997fe7a097e3&id=daaed8c839&e=7683a9aed3) on Sunday, January 21 from 10:00 am-12:00 pm at the Lurie Education Center at SF Zoo & Gardens. Anyone interested should have a love for animals and the ability to share information with others. We'll teach you everything else!

Wildlife Illustration: Aviary Art
Develop your wildlife-drawing skills with this one-day workshop on February 10! We’ll cover a few art basics, then travel to the South American Tropical Rainforest & Aviary to draw colorful birds like macaws and spoonbills; elegant snakes and lizards; and (if we're lucky!) a sleepy sloth. Finally, after the field trip, you’ll create a finished illustration of your favorite animal to take home with you. Basic materials will be provided but feel free to bring any of your favorite art supplies with you. Whether you’re a practiced artist or a curious first-timer, you’ll find a whole new way of appreciating the natural world!
