Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service
In honor of Dr. King and his legacy of service, we hosted over 150 volunteers who
completed roughly 400 volunteer hours in our parks this past weekend, including 
Habitat for Humanity of Greater San Francisco at Bayview Park; The Mission Continues
& Hunters Point Family at Adam Rodgers Community Garden; and our very own Greenagers
at the Port of San Francisco's Heron's Head Park! Thank you volunteers for dedicating

Shoreview Planning Meeting #2 on January 20

Francisco Park Design Update Open House on February 10
We are co-hosting with the Francisco Park Conservancy a design update open house
 to share the latest designs of the new Francisco Park. Please join us for this 
community gathering on Saturday, February 10 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at Moscone Recreation
Center (1800 Chestnut Street), where the project team will discuss the details of
three major park elements: the children's playground, community garden and dog play

Swim Coaches Needed for the SF Merionettes
The SF Merionettes Synchronized Swim Club is seeking part-time coaches to support
our novice, intermediate and age group teams. The team has expanded over the last
few years now has over 40 swimmers! There is an experienced coaching staff in place
that take a collaborative approach to coaching with multiple coaches per team, allowing
flexible scheduling and professional development for part-time coaches. For more

Tinkering for Tots Classes Now Open!
Tinkering for Tots Class & The Tinkering & Making Lab are now open! In these FREE
classes, tots will unleash their curiousity as they TINKER with everyday materials,
explore how things work and are put back together. Students will be inspired to 
use their imaginations and problem solve in our STEM Tinkering and Making Labs. 
Classes are on Wednesdays from 1/10 to 3/7 at Minnie and Lovie Ward Recreation Center
(650 Capitol Avenue) and Thursday from 1/11 to 3/8 at Tenderloin Recreation Center
