Garden Resource Day on July 21
Get your garden ready and join us for FREE community garden workshops this summer
and fall, including our second Garden Resource Day of the year at the Golden Gate
Park CommUNITY Garden (780 Frederick Street) from 10 a.m. to 1 pm THIS Saturday,
 July 21! In addition to compost and mulch, we will also have veggie plants to give
away, as well as a station to clean and repair your small garden tools.

Chase "Return the Serve" Fun Day on July 13
On Friday, July 13 we celebrated the Chase "Return the Serve" Fun Day with over 
200 kids at the Golden Gate Park Tennis Center with Chase, United States Tennis 
Association (USTA) Foundation and USTA Northern California! The event celebrated
 the generous grant of $15,000 given to us to support our Tennis and Learning Center
Program! Thank you Chase and the USTA Foundation for this grant and for helping 
us get out and play! Thank you as well to Supervisor Ahsha Safai, Lou Seal and a
 couple of the Larry O'Brien trophies courtesy of the Golden State Warriors for 
your support!

Willie "Woo Woo" Wong Groundbreaking on July 14
Thank you to everyone who came out this past Saturday, July 14 to help us break 
ground on the Willie "Woo Woo" Wong Playground renovation! From the lion dance to
the tricycle race, it was an absolute blast! A special thanks to our supporters

Summer Day Camp Update and Camp Chronicles
Summer is rolling along as we finished up our fifth week of summer day camps this
past week! Some important and pertinent statistics to report include that our campers
have baked 250 muffins at Mega Camp, visited 16 countries at the Around the World
Adventure Camp and made 317 batches of slime, in addition to participating in our
annual Summer Play Day on July 18 at Bayview Playground and MLK Pool! Be sure to

Stern Grove Festival Featuring the San Francisco Symphony on July 22

Japantown Peace Plaza Vision Plan Community Meeting on July 31
