Stern Grove Festival Returns June 17 with the Big Picnic!
Free concerts in Stern Grove are back this June! Celebrate Father's Day on Sunday,

San Francisco Named Top Five City in Trust for Public Lands' Newest Park Ratings
SF Rec and Park has again been ranked as one of the top park systems in the nation!
Through the Trust for Public Land's (TPL) ParkScore index, we rank in the top five
for the sixth year running, coming in at number five. Since the ParkScore's inception,
San Francisco has consistently been one of the top park systems in the nation, while
also being the first city to achieve the TPL's goal of having everyone live within

Pickleball Players do Spring Cleaning at the Golden Gate Park Tennis Center Facility!
Thank you to our pickleball players who did some spring cleaning this past Saturday,
May 19 by putting up wind screens, removing debris and relining the eight pickleball
courts where they play in the Golden Gate Park Tennis Center! Pickleball is a competitive
paddle sport played with a whiffle ball on a badminton-sized court and a tennis-style
net that's fun and easy to learn. It's America's fastest growing sport! If you are
interested in giving it a try, pickleball is played on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays

Free Guided Walk in the Park with Healthy Parks, Healthy People

walk along the beautiful San Francisco waterfront and Bay Trail, bird watching and

Introduction to Urban Beekeeping at Alemany Farm on May 26

2018 Heron Watch on May 26!
Observe the magnificent Great Blue Herons and their chicks during their nesting 
season at Stow Lake on Saturdays in May and June, including this Saturday, May 26!
This FREE program in Golden Gate Park will have interns and volunteers through SF
Nature Education using spotting scopes to direct attention to the herons and their
chicks! The observation site will be open from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. with directional

Mobile Rec comes to the Bernal Heights Recreation Center (500 Moultrie Avenue) this
