October 2, 2018 USEF SafeSport Requirements New USEF Competition Manager Training Requirement, AVA Early Registration, and FEI Seminar for Judges and Trainer in the U.S.  USEF SafeSport Requirement On August 28, 2018, US Equestrian announced a new Safe Sport rule change effective January 1, 2019, requiring that all US Equestrian adult members with a Competing Membership must complete SafeSport Core Training in order to be eligible to participate in US Equestrian activities. The SafeSport Core Training was launched by the U.S Center for SafeSport on January 1, 2018, and encompasses three modules: Sexual Misconduct Awareness Education, Mandatory Reporting, and Emotional and Physical Misconduct.   If you completed Safe Sport Training before January 1, 2018, you will need to complete the new SafeSport Core Training modules in order to maintain your compliance. Instructions to access the SafeSport Core Training are available here.   If you would like to view when you are due to complete your Safe Sport Training: Log in to your US Equestrian Member Dashboard Click on “My USEF” in the top right hand corner Scroll down to find the “Safe Sport Training Completed” tile Under the tile a “Due Next” date shows when you must complete your Training For more information, visit the Safe Sport section of the USEF website. USEF Competition Manager Education Course Effective December 1, 2018, USEF competition managers must complete the USEF Competition Manager Education Course. Please note that you must first complete the Background Check and SafeSport Training. To complete the Competition Manager Course, login to your member portal on the USEF website. FEI Seminar for Judges and Trainers -- First Time in the USA. Don't Miss this Opportunity! March 6-8, 2019 at the South Point Hotel and Casino, Las Vegas. Open to all National Judges and all NF’s, coaches, trainers, and lungers. The Seminar will precede the AVA Educational Symposium. Symposium starts Thursday March 7, 2019 with private clinics, then the Symposium continues March 8-10, 2019.
