CELEBRATE ZOOTOBERFEST
EVERY WEEKEND IN OCTOBER!

Join us this weekend as we continue to celebrate our favorite season...Fall! You'll love going on an adventure in our "Harvest Hallow" where you can navigate through our giant hay maze with play areas all along the way - we even have photo ops to capture that perfect memory! Don't miss our "Zoo Brew Haus" with a great selection of brews, a full slate of German-inspired dishes and energetic live music at The Depot Grill.

WINTER ZOO CAMP REGISTRATION OPENS OCTOBER 17!

Set your alarms!  Winter Zoo Camp (https://sfzoo.us12.list-manage.com/track/click?u=05b8326f4402b997fe7a097e3&id=351aa573d1&e=7683a9aed3) registration opens online Wednesday, October 17th at 10am.  Join us at our wildly popular Zoo Camp for children ages 4 years old through 5th grade.  Campers will enjoy learning about how wildlife adapts to the challenges of winter through zoo tours, games, crafts and more.  Look for the NEW session we added in November! BOO AT THE ZOO - OCTOBER 27-28!
Our thrillingly popular event, Boo at the Zoo, only happens once a year and you don't want to miss it! The family-friendly Halloween event includes trick-or-treat stations throughout the Zoo, face-painters, and arts & crafts.  Enjoy the Pumpkin Stomp & Chomp and an Insect Zoo full of creepy, crawly critter adventures!

MAKE WAY FOR THE PRINCESS FLOWER!

We are a zoological garden, and as we support our “conservation hot spots”, we invest in local botany. As our South American conservation efforts grow, we support growth of the Tibouchina urvilleana, which is native to Brazil. Otherwise, known as the “Princess Flower,” this is a very popular landscape plant in frost-free areas around the world. The tender evergreen is a vigorous grower that forms majestic mounds of colorful foliage and is covered during the warm months with big beautiful bluish purple flowers. Moreover, migratory birds, bees and butterflies are attracted to the Princess Flower, as we continue our efforts to be a “Zoo without borders”! Stop by our South American Region and Eugene Friend Family Carousel to see this vivacious blossom in action!
