Safeway Holiday Ice Rink at Union Square Returns on November 7
San Francisco's favorite holiday tradition, the Safeway Holiday Ice Rink in Union
Square (333 Post Street) presented by Alaska Airlines kicks-off on Wednesday, November
7, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. with a fun-filled opening day ceremony. With a number of special
events including Drag Queens on Ice and the Macy's Tree Lighting Celebration, there

North Lake Invasive Aquatic Vegetation Management Project to Begin November 5
We are beginning the North Lake Invasive Aquatic Vegetation Management Project this
coming Monday, November 5! The overall goal of this project is to remove and reduce
select invasive aquatic vegetation to improve the health of the lake and adjacent
shoreline, as well as enhancing viewpoints at locations along the lake's perimeter
pathway. Areas of the perimeter pathway may be closed intermittently during construction.
The staging areas will also be closed during construction. Once complete, we will
have enhanced the parkland's beauty for you to enjoy!

Hamilton Recreation Center Parking Lot Closure
During the Margaret Hayward Playground renovation, the maintenance hub located at
the playground will be moved to the Hamilton Recreation Center parking lot on Post
and Scott streets. During this time, the parking lot will be closed to the public
beginning the week of November 5 for the duration of the project, which is expected
to be completed in early 2020.

San Francisco Preschool Fair on November 7
Join the Office of Early Care and Education for its second annual preschool fair

HPHP at Stow Lake on November 3
