SNOW LEOPARD CUBDATE!
- COME VISIT THIS WEEKEND -

Platforms are now all the rage with our now 3-month-old cubs! "Dawa’s" place of tranquility has been invaded by the cubs. However, she still has the high platforms by the window…for now!  The cubs' coordination is developing daily, and they are quite rambunctious! As apex predators, they are learning how to hunt through play by stalking, leaping, climbing, and wrestling with each other and Mom’s tail.  "Dawa" is often initiating play which includes a tag and leap into the air to show the cubs how it’s done.  After all, she’s only three years old herself!

BIKEABOUT - SEPTEMBER 8

Grab your “bear-y” best friends and meet us at the Zoo for an early morning BikeAbout this Saturday, September 8th at 8:30 am. You’ll have the opportunity to pedal around the Zoo with knowledgeable guides who will teach you fun animal facts and share ideas about how you can help animals in the wild. SENIOR STROLL - SEPTEMBER 13

Seniors, ages 65 and older, are welcome to attend SF Zoo's quarterly Senior Stroll, Thursday, September 13 at 9:00 am. Enjoy a guided walking tour and watch the animals that are active early in the day, especially our snow leopard cubs. Bring your best questions for a knowledgeable docent, who can provide answers as well as fascinating insights into animal behavior. MEMBERS' MORNING - SEPTEMBER 14

Join us as at this very special Members’ Morning as we celebrate our two snow leopard cubs – a male and a female – born on June 7, 2018. Snow leopards, which are from the mountain ranges of South and Central Asia, are one of the most highly vulnerable big cat species in the world. ANNUAL MEMBERS' MEETING

Members in good standing are invited to attend the Annual Meeting of the San Francisco Zoological Society in the Bernard Osher Great Hall of the Lurie Education Center, September 18, 2018, at 2 pm. The main item of business will be the election of officers & directors. To the extent that they exist, any proposed amendment(s) to the Articles of Incorporation and Bylaws may be discussed.
