11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and will feature egg hunts, carnival rides, games, live entertainment,
food trucks and the highly anticipated annual rib cook-off between SF Rec and Park,

Golden Gate Park Tennis Center Groundbreaking Ceremony on April 17

Golden Gate Park Celebrates 149 Years!
Last week, we celebrated the 149th birthday of Golden Gate Park by cutting a beautiful

Information for 4/20 in Golden Gate Park
On April 20, an estimated 20,000 people will descend on Hippie Hill in Golden Gate
Park to celebrate all things cannabis. The 4/20 tradition, said to date back to

a safe, clean, and healthy event for everyone. Additional security, portable toilets,
and busses will be provided to the area. For health and safety reasons, we are advising
everyone to buy their cannabis at a licensed dispensary before they come to the 
event. No cannabis sales will be permitted onsite and buying or accepting cannabis
from unlicensed vendors puts you at risk for ingesting contaminated product. Pets
will not be allowed at the event this year, along with glass, alcohol, cooking or
grilling equipment. 2019 Stern Grove Festival Lineup Announced
The lineup for the 2019 Stern Grove Festival was announced last week and will include
acts such as the Isley Brothers, Digable Planets and the San Francisco Symphony!

Harvey Milk Photo Center Call for Artists!
In honor of the upcoming 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots, the Harvey Milk
Photo Center is calling for artist submissions. All art mediums that celebrate the

Alemany Farm Workshops

Lest We Forget Coming to Civic Center
On Wednesday, April 17 beginning at noon, German-Italian artist Luigi Toscano will
unveil 78 large-scale portraits of Holocaust survivors at Civic Center Plaza as 
part of a compelling arts and remembrance project entitled Lest We Forget. The Goethe-Institut
