Phil Arnold Trail Opening and Dedication on February 22!
Join us on Friday, February 22 beginning at 10 a.m. as we hold an opening celebration
and dedication for the Phil Arnold Trail (formerly the Oak Woodlands Trail). The
 newly renovated trail in the Oak Woodlands forest of Golden Gate Park will be dedicated
in honor of Phil Arnold, a longtime advocate for parks, open space and recreational
trail opportunities in San Francisco and the greater Bay Area. The event will begin
on JFK Drive at Conservatory Drive East and will feature brief remarks followed

SF Rec and Park is the Highest Ranked City Service!
Huzzah! The 2019 Dignity Health CityBeat Poll, released Tuesday by the San Francisco
Chamber of Commerce, revealed that residents' satisfaction with the San Francisco
Park and Recreation Department is not only high, but on the upswing! City dwellers
who believe parks are improving jumped from 70 percent in 2018 to 78 percent in 
2019, while those who believe parks are deteriorating fell from 11 percent in 2018
to 8 percent this year, the lowest dissatisfaction rate ever! Thank you for the

Kezar Drive Lane Closure from February 19 to 26
Beginning on Tuesday, February 19, one westbound traffic lane on Kezar Drive will
be closed daily on weekdays from 7 a.m. to noon through Tuesday, February 26. This
closure is to accommodate the ongoing Alvord Lake bridge repair project. For more

The Poetics of Distortion at Harvey Milk
Thomas R. Schiff's exhibit, The Poetics of Distortion is coming to the Harvey Milk

Wheelchair Hoops Showcase on February 27
Join us on Wednesday, February 27 beginning at 1 p.m. as we hold a wheelchair hoops
showcase featuring the Golden State Road Warriors at Gene Friend Recreation Center
