Flower Piano Begins on July 11
The 12-day-long Flower Piano at the San Francisco Botanical Garden is returning 
for its fifth year TOMORROW, July 11 through July 22 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Flower
Piano transforms the garden into the city's own alfresco concert hall and everyone
is invited to play and listen for just the price of regular garden admission. For

Street Soccer Installation at Civic Center Plaza
This past Sunday, the San Francisco Recreation and Park Department transformed Fulton
Street between the Asian Art Museum and Main Library into a temporary street soccer
installation that will serve the diverse community of the Civic Center area. Two
 modular turf fields provided by Street Soccer USA were installed and their opening
coincided with our World Cup Finals viewing party and the Civic Center Commons' 
1st Sunday Block Party! The soccer installation will remain up until the end of 
August and will include youth programs, youth and adult "drop-in" play and adult
 leagues. Bernal Heights Soccer Pitch Meeting on July 19

Sunday Streets in the Mission on July 14
Sunday Streets returns to the sunny Mission district for a second round of car-free
streets from Duboce Avenue to 26th Street on Valencia Street this Sunday, July 14

Sundown Cinema Returns on July 12
Sundown Cinema returns this Friday, July 12 beginning at 6 p.m. in Dolores Park!

Trail Corps Volunteer Day on July 13
Calling all trail fans! Join us for volunteer work parties where you will gain valuable
experience in the basics of trail maintenance. Our new Volunteer Trails Corps will
help maintain over 30 miles of urban trails in parks throughout the city! The next

Model Yacht Sailing Lessons on July 21
Join the San Francisco Model Yacht Club for FREE introductory sailing lessons for

V-O-Cal Trail Building on August 16 to 18
Join us and V-O-Cal (Volunteers for Outdoor California) on the weekend of August
 16 to 18 to build and restore trails in McLaren Park. This unique experience allows
you to make a lasting contribution to our parks while meeting new friends and spending
time outdoors!  Trail work is all day Saturday and a half day Sunday, with optional
