Wheelchair Basketball Clinic on June 28
Join our Therapeutic Recreation and Inclusion team and California Children's Services
for a wheelchair basketball adaptive sports clinic at Gene Friend Recreation Center
(270 6th Street) this Friday, June 28 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. This clinic is for youth
and teens 6 to 17 years old with physical disabilities. No experience required for
participants! Sport wheelchairs will be provided and everyone will play! For more

Rossi Pool Closing on July 1
Rossi Pool will be closing this coming Monday, July 1 to begin its capital improvement
project. We anticipate completing the project in the fall of 2020. Nearby pools 
include Sava Pool (19th Avenue and Wawona Street), Hamilton Pool (1900 Geary Boulevard)

Corona Heights Volunteer Day on June 29
Join our Natural Resource Division this Saturday, June 29 at Corona Heights from
 10 a.m. to noon. Come explore this neighborhood park and its spectacular views 
of San Francisco's hilltops, patches of green, and skyline with volunteers from 
the Gay and Lesbian Sierrans as we work to protect wild flowers and grasses by weeding

Galactic at Stern Grove on June 30
Join us for the 82nd season of the Stern Grove Festival (19th Avenue and Sloat Boulevard.)

Flower Piano Begins on July 11
The 12-day-long Flower Piano at the San Francisco Botanical Garden is returning 
for its fifth year from July 11 to 22 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Flower Piano transforms
the garden into the city's own alfresco concert hall and everyone is invited to

Trail Corps Volunteer Day on July 13
Calling all trail fans! Join us for volunteer work parties where you will gain valuable
experience in the basics of trail maintenance. Our new Volunteer Trails Corps will
help maintain over 30 miles of urban trails in parks throughout the city! The next
