Sunday Streets in the Bayview/Dogpatch on May 5
Sunday Streets will connect the lively 22nd Street in Dogpatch to the Bayview's 
main corridor and beyond, with a car-free route spanning Third Street and creating

SF Rec and Park Department Breaks Ground on Five Playgrounds
We broke ground this past month on five playground renovations as a part of the 
Let'sPlaySF! campaign! The groundbreaking ceremony, held at the Panhandle Playground,
marked the beginning of construction at that site and four others: Alice Chalmers
Playground in the Outer Mission, McLaren Playground and group picnic area in the
 Excelsior-Portola neighborhood, Merced Heights Playground, and Sgt. Macaulay Playground
in the Tenderloin. The Let'sPlaySF! campaign is a partnership between the us and
 the San Francisco Parks Alliance that promises to transform 13 timeworn play areas

Today, Off the Grid kicked off its new market located at Don Chee Way next to the
bocce courts in Embarcadero Plaza! This market will occur on Mondays, Wednesdays

SF Parks Receive ASLA Honors!
Last week, the American Society of Landscape Architects recognized both Miller Company
Landscape Architects for its work on Hilltop Park and Andrea Cochran Landscape Architects
for its work on the Helen Diller Civic Center Playgrounds. Thank you both for designing

Fillmore Turk Mini Park Community Meetings

Yom Hashoah/Holocaust Remembrance Day on May 2
In conjunction with the photographic exhibition Lest We Forget at Civic Center Plaza,
the German Consulate General San Francisco and the Goethe-Institut San Francisco
 invite you tomorrow, May 2 at noon to commemorate Yom Hashoah/Holocaust Remembrance
Day at City Hall. German Consul General Hans-Ulrich Südbeck, Goethe-Institut Director
Sigrid Savelsberg, as well as other dignitaries, artist Luigi Toscano and a number
of the survivors portrayed in the exhibit will gather with many other partners and
supporters of this project in order to honor the victims of the Holocaust. Guests
will have the opportunity to visit Lest We Forget at Civic Center Plaza after the
program. We Players: Undiscovered Country
We Players theatre company has its newest production Undiscovered Country at the

YPTMTC Presents Sister Act at the Randall

Kids' Games at Kezar Stadium May 5
