Scaregrove on October 25
Scaregrove, our spooktacular Halloween event, returns to Stern Grove (19th Avenue
and Sloat Boulevard), this Friday, October 25 from 3 to 9 p.m. This year's event
 will feature a costume contest and parade, haunted houses, carnival rides, food
 for sale, live entertainment and more! $10 per person; children under 2 are free!

The San Francisco Botanical Garden Unveils New Celebration Garden
Today, the San Francisco Botanical Garden unveiled its newly transformed Celebration
Garden. This new feature will showcase iconic plants from many of the Botanical 
Garden's collections and provide a unique venue for special programs, exhibitions
and events. Garden staff partnered with local, award-winning design firm Lutsko 
Associates Landscape to design the new space. The renovation includes accessible
 pathways, improved irrigation, and new plantings such as striking blue-silver Brahea
palms, Mesoamerican ferns, fishtail palms from Southeast Asia, African impatiens
 and more. This major renovation was made possible through the public-private partnership
of the San Francisco Recreation and Park Department and San Francisco Botanical 
Garden Society, including generous contributions from donors and volunteers. For

We Are the City Family Summits in October
The Department of Children, Youth and Their Families (DCYF) is hosting a series 
of family summits near you to discuss its five-year planning process and how the

Richmond Playground Meeting on November 2

This prestigious annual event was hosted by the San Francisco Lawn Bowling Club
