Chase Center Block Party on September 7
Watch the US Open Women's Finals on the giant screen at the new Chase Center! JP
Morgan Chase will host the 2nd Annual US Open Watch Party, which will benefit the
Campaign for Golden Gate Park Tennis Center. The watch party will take place this
Saturday, September 7 from noon to 4 p.m. at the brand new Chase Center (1 Warriors
Way and 3rd Street.) This free, live viewing of the US Open Women's Finals is part
of the Chase Block Party, a weeklong celebration of the new home of the Golden State
Warriors. This fun, family-friendly event will include tennis games for kids, appearances

Due South Concert Series at Jerry Garcia Amphitheater on September 7
The inaugural season of the Due South concert series, in partnership with the San
Francisco Parks Alliance, Noise Pop and District 11 Supervisor Ahsha Safaí, will

Potrero Hill Rec Center Completes Renovation
Today, we celebrated completed renovations at the Potrero Hill Recreation Center!
Improvements include the renovation of the natural turf ballfields, the resurfacing
of the tennis and basketball courts, and more. The renovation was funded primarily
by the 2012 Neighborhood Parks Bond. Thank you District 10 Supervisor Shamann Walton,
San Franciscans for Sports and Recreation, Potrero Annex Tenants Association, Friends

SFLBC To Host Lawn Bowling Championships
The top men and women lawn bowlers in the country will compete at the 2019 Lawn
Bowling National Championships, hosted by the San Francisco Lawn Bowling Club (SFLBC)
in Golden Gate Park, later this month. Founded in 1901, SFLBC is the oldest municipal
lawn bowling club in the country. All competitions are free and open to the public
for viewing at the club (Bowling Green Drive near Robin Williams Meadow and the
Sharon Art Studio.) Practice days are Sept. 21-22, and tournament play will be from
Sept. 24-27. The Opening Ceremony is Monday, Sept. 23 at 4 p.m, followed by a ribbon-cutting

Girls Flag Football Showcase September 7
Football season is upon us and we're holding an all-girls flag football showcase
for girls 8 to 12 years old this Saturday, September 7 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at
Potrero Hill Recreation Center (801 Arkansas Street.) This FREE showcase will feature
coaches from the Professional Women's Tackle League, who will be leading basic fundamental

Party for the Parks on September 14
Join the San Francisco Parks Alliance for its annual Party for the Parks. This year's
party will take place at Civic Center Plaza on Saturday, September 14 from 6 to
11 p.m., with proceeds supporting the Let'sPlaySF! initiative, a partnership between
the SF Parks Alliance and the San Francisco Recreation and Parks Department to renovate
13 playgrounds across the city, benefiting more than 20,000 children. The event

Camp Mather Fundraiser on September 14
