New at SF Zoo!

We are excited to announce the arrival of two Aldabra tortoises at SF Zoo! The Aldabra tortoise is the second largest species of tortoise in the world and is found on Aldabra Island, which is north of Madagascar. While this magnificent species can easily live to 100-years-old, our new male and female duo are only 5-years-old.
Bud's Birthday Fundraiser!

We would like to thank our friend Bud, who celebrated his 10th birthday on August 8th by raising $1,000 to help care for our hippo Bruce! Bud has been fundraising for Bruce every year on his own birthday since the age of three.
