SF Zoo to Close Starting Dec. 7
Dear San Francisco Zoo Family and Friends:

We regret to inform you that San Francisco Zoo & Gardens is among the many places that must close its doors for the second time this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The health and safety of our visitors, staff and animals remains our highest priority.

We are officially closed effective Monday, December 7, 2020 through Monday, January 4, 2021. Should this date be extended, we will keep you abreast of a new re-opening time. For now, all reservations have been cancelled. For those of you who have pre-purchased your admission tickets, we will honor your visit on another date. We will alert you when reservation dates are back online.

All of us at the Zoo truly appreciate your patience and understanding as we navigate this uncertain year. Thank you for your diligence in adhering to our safety guidelines, and your patience in following our newly implemented advance reservation requirements. We hope that your Zoo visits have brought some sense of normalcy to your family quality time during this unprecedented pandemic, and that being outdoors and enjoying our animals has been a source of respite for you.

Lastly, in light of San Francisco Mayor London Breed's shutdown announcement today, there are still many ways to support the Zoo during this closure period. Your generosity is even more critical now!
