Guess Where Our Holiday Elves Are!

SF Zoo staff worked hard to create an outdoor wonderland during this holiday season. Despite our mandated closure, we continue to share the charm! We will post an “Elf per Day” on our Instagram and Facebook Stories until Christmas Day! See if you can guess the area where they are hidden in the Zoo! Keep your eyes out for our elves on Twitter too...guessing the area correctly on Twitter could get you a month free of membership!
New Digs for Our Rescued Bald Eagle!

When the Zoo reopens, come see our resident bald eagle, Sureshot!  She is adjusting well to her new habitat near Palm Alley across from the habitat of our “jumping” lemurs, the Sifaka.  Sureshot was brought to San Francisco Zoo & Gardens because she was injured in the wild and can no longer fly. We can't wait to welcome you back so you can see her!

Michael, the youngest member of our chimp troop of seven, turned 30 on December 10!

Meerkats Amahle, Kayóde and Mandisa turned 1 on December 14!
