Celebrate Mardi Gras at India Basin This Saturday, February 29
Please join us for a Shoreline Saturday Mardi Gras Celebration on Saturday, February
29 from noon to 3 p.m. at 900 Innes Avenue!
The celebration will feature free food and activities, including a live performance
by Honor Brass Band, stilt walkers, a crawfish boil, grits, black-eyed peas, and
 more from Radio Africa Kitchen (available on a first-come, first-served basis for
the first 200 attendees). Free kids' activities include mask making, face painting,
and outdoor games. Gumbo from Gumbo Social, desserts from Yes Pudding, beer from
 Laughing Monk, and wine from Wachira Wines will all be available for purchase.

San Francisco Youth Baseball League Opening Day on February 29
It's time to play ball! Join us for some baseball fun as we celebrate opening day
of the 2020 San Francisco Youth Baseball League season on Saturday, February 29,
 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Kimbell Fields (Geary Boulevard and Steiner Street).
 Activities will include a ceremonial first pitch and free baseball activities,

The Randall Museum Middle School Science Fair
Stop by the Randall Museum (199 Museum Way) Tuesdays through Saturdays, from 10 
a.m. to 5 p.m. through March 6 and check out the fantastic science projects on display
throughout the museum. The 37th annual science fair features experiments by hundreds
of middle school students from across the city and offers a glimpse into the brilliant
minds of tomorrow's STEM professionals. An official awards ceremony will be held
 on Saturday, February 29, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.

SF Historical Society Essay Contest
In honor of the 150th anniversary of Golden Gate Park, the San Francisco Historical
Society is holding its second annual Fracchia Prize essay contest. The prompt is
 One Perfect Day in Golden Gate Park, where the contestant will choose a section
 of the park to explore and write a walking tour that stops at six to eight places,
telling the history of each stop. The first place prize is $2,500 and publication

Turk-Hyde Mini Park Reopening Celebration on March 2

SF Soccer Fair on March 4
