Golden Gate Park 150 Volunteer Kick Off Event on January 28
Join us on Tuesday, January 28 from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. to help kick off Golden
 Gate Park's 150th birthday year! Community groups, cultural partners and elected
officials will help to plant 150 trees around Golden Gate Park with the program 
beginning at the Rhododendron Dell on John F. Kennedy Drive east of 8th Avenue.

Volunteers Needed for the Jr. Warriors!
Are you passionate about sports and recreation and looking to make a difference

McLaren Park Closure Beginning January 20
A segment of John F. Shelley Drive will be closed beginning on Monday, January 20
to allow for utility installation in the roadway. This work is a part of the project
to renovate the children's playground and install a new restroom at the group picnic
area. We anticipate completing this work in mid-March. For more information, contact

Civic Center Playgrounds Closures
The Helen Diller Civic Center Playgrounds will be closed on Saturday, January 18
 during the Women's March that will be occurring in Civic Center Plaza. The playground
will also be closed the following Saturday, January 25 during the Walk for Life.
 The closures are to preserve the integrity of the playground during these large
 scale, adult-oriented events. The playgrounds will reopen at the end of each event.

City Job Fairs in January
Join us and the Department of Children, Youth Services, and Their Families (DCYF)
for our Summer Resource Fair. The citywide event takes place on Saturday, February
8 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the County Fair Building (1199 9th Avenue). It will 
feature representatives from 150 summer camps, classes, programs, and services for

Bernal Hill Volunteer Day on January 18
Join our natural resource division on Saturday, January 18 from 10 a.m to noon to
help restore the grasslands of Bernal Hill, one of our city's unique natural areas.
We will be weeding invasive radish, planting, and helping to maintain the park's
 native grasslands. The project site will offer spectacular views of the city on

Through the Magic Window January 18
Join photographer Alan Kikuchi for his 3-D photo exhibit Through the Magic Window
beginning Saturday, January 18 with an opening reception from 2 to 4:30 p.m. at 
McLaren Lodge (501 Stanyan Street). The 3-D photographs in this exhibit were captured
on film using stereoscopic cameras from the 1950s. The exhibit will run through 
Friday, February 28. Harding Park Crab Feed on January 18
Join TPC Harding Park for its annual crab feed on Saturday, January 18 beginning
