Each week from June 8th until August 10th students can participate in the K2C College Tour Scholarship Contest by visiting a college virtually and answering a few questions. Despite this unpredictable time and the economic hardship that many of our families are experiencing, families have found ways to continue their commitment to saving for their children’s future. Monthly Spotlight Joining Forces with Latino Parents Club at PPS-SF The Latino Parent Club, created by Daisy Hernandez of Parents for Public Schools, a K2C community partner, enjoyed a K2C online presentation June 25th. Over 10 parents attended the workshop and loved learning about their children’s K2C savings accounts. “We have a strong commitment to save for college because our children’s education is our number one priority.” -A Parent Leader at Latino Parent Club We want to spotlight you and your story! July 26 is National Parents Day! Cheers to all parents for the amazing work supporting your children, especially during these unprecedented times. For example, four families each made at least 100 trips to Citibank branches over the years to deposit funds into their children’s K2C accounts, not stopping even during the pandemic! These extraordinary families showed their support in investing in their children’s education.
