'Learning hubs' opening across SF to help 6,000 kids in need with distance education
Last week, Mayor London Breed announced an educational assistance program for the
fall to help up to 6,000 children from high-need families with their distance-learning
needs. Starting in September, dozens of facilities across the city, including some
of our recreation centers and clubhouses, will be transformed into learning hubs
 where young students can to access their digital classwork and provide social interactions.

Back to School MAGIC Resource Fair on August 13

PGA Championship and Parking Impact at Lake Merced

Though there will be no spectators, tournament operations will impact parking at
 and around Lake Merced. Currently the Sunset, Penguin and Muir parking lots are
 closed through August 10, while the Lake Merced Boathouse lot will be closed beginning
Saturday, August 1 through 10.
In addition, SFMTA will be closing parking on Lake Merced Boulevard between Skyline
Boulevard and Sunset Parkway from August 3 to 9. The east side of Lake Merced Blvd
from North State Drive and Higuera Avenue is currently closed through August 12.

Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival to Move Online in 2020
Hardly Strictly Bluegrass festival will be moving online for its 20th year from 
October 2 to 4.
The festival's theme will be "Let the Music Play On" and will contain an online 
stream of newly recorded performances, past footage from fans and its archives, 
interviews, as well as the festival's history. This was announced along with a livestream

Virtual Stern Grove Festival and Free Educational Programming
Stern Grove Festival has gone virtual with its #BestoftheFest! Join its season host
Liam Mayclem every Sunday at 4:30 p.m., through August 16 on KPIX-TV/Channel 5,
