Help us Shelter our Animals while Sheltering in Place!

As we enter the second week of sheltering in place, we need your help to maintain our commitment to the highest quality care for the more than 2,000 animals who call SF Zoo their home.

As a non-profit organization, the San Francisco Zoo & Gardens relies on daily ticket sales to cover more than 60% of our operating revenue.  While we are doing our best to reduce costs and shore up resources to withstand the closure, the reality is that the costs to feed and care for our animals remain the same even when we are closed.

We are exploring creative ways to enable you to stay connected to your Zoo, from online video updates and educational offerings, to more frequent social media posts and email and website updates.  You are part of our Zoo family, and we want to keep you informed!
