2020 Health and Recovery Bond
>From connecting the community to a clean, restored shoreline in the Bayview to providing
safe plazas, recreation centers and gathering spaces for families in SOMA, Visitacion
Valley and the Western Addition, the proposed 2020 Health and Recovery Bond for
the November ballot would invest $200 million in parks. Parks are essential civic
infrastructure that increase residents' quality of life and provide places to relax,
enjoy nature, play and exercise. Historically, they have played important roles
globally in recovery from disasters, including pandemics [http://r20.rs6.net/tn.jsp?f=001KtwGydyp2BsoNamRf-8yfDYZy0n_msuE5mCakhDC-pGv9SOQAtuLZEVzifxTgwca6qYNV1wi0VMBEkRecO1lpW8i4cm3LdNVPFfMMDCCK1diyah9V_XGcsS3XO95AdxHcL8Bgq02s8pQiRqI8HecgMqoU7IE1tMcs6kX9AXXDyImnBKMjeImjjEvACEpqtt1nn06gHUVZ4_BERnMlCjcVdzPStgJQhAxphWR6LyAhHbbA2NY_thWTYbmRRdM4_zj2019v98YNuSaIIJBB11RI88NrQ3lntWODZ5VYjCE6GbQA6ktueTXavmpUoAq-E6ArJAfcuLz6HjrBalLdLq-Ahv1IhaQ712O2PB-d9-BYOJUvSEI5hjy4N7_eWaKWftBRZUBL8buTYywK5h7npF3jHcszW4Ooi6FpLZGWQETiC1B3YjODyCd6KkuFUvKm-cUDn2snQ_ceGLePeTTVfbL2gY1lluZR2wvoWb4a3nnAd1JutMX4GlFMOILrd0UUEjzFP8mL0n1fHB48fU8CZHZ03ByI_qah_Ljo1OpCp_LqKYUlOzH2bECmf1P9-zl7gE6jjPHyg8_28fNiFaQD99jQu8aYbhxkEvCrLkSWLzdA-TlKvBy-13WcJ6LsF6jLasyODLKR6Qbz7uXAI0oGGVmqNDzRKaRvuHC6fzJtXwaRVGugiNiPCfgNwphjb9Y3WRXn_Kihm-oVxFYZFjXXYrnROFhSzQiH81tfcCJX8LMKkMXv41w0kOdHmm5bDTZq16WnIgRruClKKE0Wsozj5ujPkI0QgNsMquRz_iletDvkmVp4OP88w4gDehB8QU2gVLW&c=0K3m_LCOMNahrIHLB08DdS9Bm1xKmd19k-P_rTa4qmDmxNsMNjX_oQ==&ch=OWFAI61MWEpdTHyBg0tRVEITHFUmcsU4OXBGpV7RSIjPWhZtQ0AWbg==].

is a virtual discussion that comes courtesy of San Francisco Bay Area Planning and
Urban Research Association (SPUR) and features local park leaders including our
own general manager Phil Ginsburg. These park leaders talk about the ongoing processes
related to decision making and the pandemic, the indicators that will kickstart
a return to normalcy for our parks systems and what "normal" actually might be like
going forward.
