Our Zoo Director, Tanya Peterson, along with Oakland Zoo's Director, Dr. Joel Parrot, recently spoke with SFGATE about the importance of interacting with nature during these trying times. MONIFA'S 23RD BIRTHDAY

We kicked off 2021 with Monifa's 23rd birthday. She, along with the other members of our gorilla troop, enjoyed a variety of treats including cupcake ice treats!

Sunset neighbors and beyond, please keep your eyes out for a stuffed Cookie Monster that was stolen out of a car during a family’s visit to Ocean Beach. The beloved plush belongs to a young boy who is in SF to take part in a clinical trial for a rare disease.
