Updates, news and events in San Francisco parks Rec and Park's 2020 Community Report 2020 was a year like no other, and yet, despite a global pandemic and unprecedented challenges, the San Francisco Recreation and Park Department found ways to keep our communities connected, provide quality programming, and serve the people of San Francisco. Our annual community report details the highlights from the past year, which includes information about our COVID-19 response, our efforts to serve the families of health care and frontline workers, provide opportunities for students to adapt to distance learning, open newly renovated parks, and, of course, celebrate the 150th anniversary of our beloved Golden Gate Park.
