ZOO HIGHLIGHTS

This week, we celebrate the hard work and dedication of our animal care team, who devote their lives to our animals here at SF Zoo and are part of a larger effort to protect and preserve wildlife. From training animals to participate in their own health care, and educating our guests, to prepping diets, and creating enrichment, our animal care team provides the best care to our animals each and every day. The Summer Games are about to kick off in Tokyo and we are joining in the fun with our own at home version of "ZOOlympics." After a year without hosting gatherings and birthday parties, nor of seeing the joyful faces of youngsters with their families and friends, we are happy to announce that birthday parties are back! The sight of these birthday celebrations has been a welcome one after a long year. FREE PREVEW OF NEW FILM: VIVO!

We’ve got a special preview of the new Netflix and Sony Pictures Animation film VIVO just for you! Follow the musical adventures of a one-of-a-kind kinkajou (voiced by Lin-Manuel Miranda) who must deliver a song on behalf of his beloved owner and mentor Andres (Juan de Marcos Gonzáles) before it’s too late. You’ll see some familiar animals too from your visits to the Zoo!

To view the film, you are required to RSVP here (https://sfzoo.us12.list-manage.com/track/click?u=05b8326f4402b997fe7a097e3&id=9fe55990b0&e=7683a9aed3) . A screening link will be sent by email on or before July 31st and will be usable for 48 hours after late morning that day. All RSVPs must be submitted no later than Wednesday, July 28th.

Then come visit us to see some of the animals you’ll meet in the film!
GARDEN UPDATE

A plethora of beautiful flowers are blooming at SF Zoo and Gardens! Sunflowers, dahlias, and hydrangeas are a few of the beautiful blooms you will find on Zoo grounds. In addition to these stunning flowers, we are thrilled to share that the Fairy Gardens are expanding to other parts of the zoo! Keep your eyes out for more of the one-of-a-kind, handmade mini houses and doors that will add a sense of magic to your next visit!
