Join the National AIDS Memorial, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Congresswoman Barbara Lee, Dr. Anthony Fauci and other leaders in the AIDS movement for a powerful observance. The ceremony will be streamed on Saturday, June 5 at 2:30 p.m. PT to honor the more than 700,000 lives lost to AIDS in the U.S., the survivors, and the heroes during four decades of the AIDS epidemic. Learn to Swim Registration Ellen Reid SOUNDWALK in Golden Gate Park Launches June 12 KRONOS FESTIVAL, in association with the McEvoy Foundation for the Arts, is pleased to present Ellen Reid SOUNDWALK. Launching on Saturday, June 12 in Golden Gate Park, SOUNDWALK is a GPS-enabled work of public art that uses music, composed by Reid and performed by Kronos and others, to illuminate the natural environment. SOUNDWALK is custom-tailored to its setting, and has been created to encourage a deeper connection to nature and exploration of iconic spaces. City Parks Alliance Summer Series San Francisco Kicks of Pride Month with the Lighting of the Pink Triangle Our Video of the Week comes courtesy of ABC-7 and features the lighting ceremony of the pink triangle on Twin Peaks. This symbol, which was used by the Nazis to label and shame homosexuals, has been reclaimed by the LGBTQ+ community as a symbol of pride. San Francisco has showcased the pink triangle for 26 years and it will be illuminated from dusk through sunrise July 1.
