7 Saturdays to a More Fire-Resistant Home " that demonstrates a number of simple steps a typical resident can take on a Saturday to harden their homes against wildfires.

The "7 Saturdays" series is co-hosted by Alicia Mason and former Chief of the CAL FIRE Butte Unit and current PG&E Senior Public Safety Specialist, David Hawks.

Every Saturday, David and Alicia explore simple ways to make homes more fire resistant including how to clear defensible space, how to make low-cost changes to harden your home, how to create a neighborhood evacuation plan, and much more. Each video offers easy and affordable tips that will only take one Saturday to complete but can make a big difference in protecting homes and preparing for wildfires.

These are challenging times for our state as we enter another year of historic drought that could intensify the wildfire season. But Californians have shown again and again we know how to rise to a challenge. We are all safer — including the first responders — when we take steps to prepare our homes and families before an emergency.
