Reservations for the second weekend of festivities, October 30 and 31, open up this weekend on October 16 and 17. Young guests are invited to participate in a costume parade and contest at 12 pm with prizes awarded for Best Costume, Best Family Costume and Best Animal Costume. Make sure to visit our beer garden at Picnic Pavilion near Puente al Sur with live music and festive fare!

SF Zoo has partnered with the Sloth Conservation Foundation based in Costa Rica to bring awareness to International Sloth Day on October 20. With the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and flu season approaching, getting the flu and COVID-19 vaccines this season is more important than ever to protect your child and family from getting sick. CONSERVATION HIGHLIGHTS

One of the best ways you can help monarchs is to create butterfly-friendly habitat. Fall is a great time to plant natives in the Bay Area. The rainy months will give the plants a chance to establish their roots before our long dry season sets in. Wondering which plants are best?
